Gary Rich, RPh, MBA
Gary brings a wealth of experience to his position as President and Founder of MyPharmaGuide. Growing up in his father’s community pharmacy, he learned at an early age how to treat patients with the respect they deserve − and about the challenges patients may face as they grow older.
Gary decided to follow in his father’s footsteps and attend pharmacy school at Rutgers University, where he graduated in 1980. He went on to earn an MBA in Pharmaceutical Marketing from Fairleigh Dickinson University. From there, Gary spent over 20 years working in pharmaceutical sales and then account services for several top pharmaceutical advertising agencies. In 2004, he returned to his first love, community pharmacy, managing prescription departments for CVS, Rite Aid, and Walgreens.
Wherever he worked, Gary’s professionalism, expertise, and compassion earned him the loyalty of the patients he served. In his personal life, when he became the primary caregiver of his aging parents, Gary gained an even greater appreciation for the challenges older adults face managing their medications. It is for these reasons that he developed the idea for MyPharmaGuide.
Gary has been a resident of Bergen County in New Jersey his entire life, is the proud father of two daughters, and an avid Yankees fan.
